Foliage:Pairs of succulent, narrow green to reddish pointed leaves 3-18 mm x 0.4-3 mm, flat above, convex below. Submerged leaves broader.
Flowers:Single tiny white, tinged with red open flowers on long stalks per pair of leaves, November-April
General
Comments:
Fast grower, can be invasive. Plants may creep or float depending on the depth of water. Fast growing plant which provides a dense cover on the walls of and in ponds and dam. Copes with high salt levels. Excellent for suppressing weeds. Aquarium plant.
