Foliage:Narrow-elliptic, stiff dull green leaves to 9 cm x 10 mm. Conspicuous lengthwise veins, especially near margins.
Flowers:1-4 short, many-flowered sprays of yellow and red pea flowers in each leaf axil. Pods triangular. September-January

Comments:
Open erect shrub with angular ribbed branchlets.  Insignificant plant until it flowers. Provides a natural look to a garden planted in swarms under eucalypts, especially stringybarks.
