Foliage:Pairs of light green egg-shaped, stem-clasping leaves, 1.5-4.5 cm x 6-27 mm, margins toothed.
Flowers:Single pink with reddish striped trumpet flowers, 6-12 mm long in leaf axils, stalkless or shortly stalked. October-May
Sprawling to erect perennial herb, rooting at nodes. Plant on edges of ponds and in permanently wet areas. Spreads by suckering. Can grow in shallow water to 15 cm. Frog habitat.
