Flowers: | Straw colored, November-March. Clusters of flowers separated by bare branchlets; 3 stamens. Main bract continues above flowers for 30 cm. Capsules reddish-brown, flattened on top, as long or longer than flower. |
General Comments: | Densely tufted perennial rush spreading from underground stems. Shiny erect bright green stems to 3mm diam. with raised ridges. Pith white, open, usually with large air spaces. Frog habitat. Wet areas and pond and dam walls. |
