Foliage:Narrow erect pointed dark green leaves 10-30 mm x 1-3 mm, often scattered along stem.
Flowers:September-February, Cream or white solitary nodes. Candle-like terminal spike of single small tubular flowers. Flowers perfumed, especially at night.
General
Comments:
Erect perennial herb branching at base from taproot. Usually not noticed until it flowers. Can form spreading patches. Attractive for small gardens, cottage gardens and rockeries. Moist to dryish well drained soils. Frost tolerant. Nectar for butterflies.
