Foliage:Hairless to slightly hairy flat or channelled leaf to 30 cm x 3 mm.
Flowers:Narrow green flowerheads, sometimes with purple edging, 6-12cm long, mostly from November to March.
General
Comments:

Densely tufted erect perennial grass. The seeds attract birds. Underplanting of trees, mixed with other grasses and herbs. Too robust for lawns. Clay to light sandy loams, though prefers non sandy soils
